Your involvement is helping shape a coordinated\, employer-driven approach to building Connecticut's future energy workforce.Over the past four months\, The WorkPlace\, Inc.\, in partnership with the Bridgeport Regional Business Council\, hasHosted two energy company information sessionsConducted 10 individual\, in-depth company interviewsEngaged training partners\, educational institutions\, and workforce partners to access current capabilitiesMet with the Director of Apprenticeships for the State Department of Labor to align on opportunitiesWe are now moving from information gathering to co-creation.We invite you to join us for the next phase: Energy Infrastructure Workforce Workshop\n\nWednesday\, May 13\, 2026 | 10:00 AM   12:00 PM\n\nCT State Housatonic Community College   Lafayette Hall Room L108\n(Parking is available in the garage off Lafayette Boulevard.) This working session will bring employers and training partners together to define the courses\, certifications\, and pathways needed to support both new entrants and incumbent workers transitioning into energy careers.\n\nOne concept we will explore is a Multi-Discipline Energy Awareness Certificate that can serve high school students\, community college students\, and adult learners.
