Unleashed Veterinary Dermatology is Connecticut's only clinic dedicated exclusively to veterinary dermatology. Recognizing Connecticut's unmet need for veterinary dermatology specialists, Dr. Falk founded the practice in 2024, purchasing the former Shakespeare Veterinary Hospital from its owner, Dr. Milos, then renovating and equipping it to be a state-of-the-art center for veterinary dermatology. The clinic features exam rooms, a large treatment area, a surgery suite, a laboratory, and a pharmacy. Dr. Falk is Fear Free certified, and the clinic was renovated with Fear Free principles in mind, including one exam room dedicated solely to cats and an outdoor patio available as an alternative to the waiting room for clients or pets who prefer it. In addition to Dr. Falk, Dr. Layne, and Dr. Davis, the staff includes five veterinary technicians, a client care coordinator, a client liaison, an assistant, and a director of operations, all committed to delivering excellent care. The clinic is conveniently located just minutes from I-95, the Merritt Parkway, and the Stratford Metro North stop, with primary parking in front, handicap-accessible parking and entrance with a ramp in the rear, grass areas with pickup bags for dogs, and a baby changing table in the new handicap-accessible bathroom. As there are few dermatologists practicing in Connecticut, many clients travel from far away, including neighboring states like New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, and the clinic welcomes all pets and their families from near and far.
